Quality

The Quality department consists of Quality Assurance and Quality Management.

Our quality assurance is differentiated into various teams of experts for the wide range of products. Our focus is on the implementation, compliance with and verification of quality criteria, product safety, seamless traceability and continuous analysis throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Our quality management team is responsible for creating and monitoring the HACCP concept and hygiene guidelines. Another focus is the implementation of legal and customer-specific requirements as well as the organization, preparation, implementation and follow-up of system and customer audits.

Commercial area

The commercial area is made up of the financial accounting, controlling, purchasing and sales departments of the individual business areas.

In cooperation with our customers, partners and colleagues, all necessary clarifications, agreements, regulations and tasks are implemented to ensure smooth production and delivery to customers.
All aspects, requirements and special circumstances within the national and international business relationships are taken into account and implemented by our colleagues.

Production

The areas of responsibility within production are very varied. Thanks to the different modern technologies at the site and the individual milk processing steps, we offer many varied and exciting activities within our production areas. However, milk reception is always the central point of contact, where processing begins. There are 14 spray towers and 3 UHT filling lines available for further processing. There is also a sugar agglomeration plant and powdered products are mixed on 4 mixing plants. At the end of the processing chain are the 10 packaging lines, where our products can be packaged in a wide variety of containers.

Technology

The technology department is divided into the specialist departments of metalworking, mechanics, electrical/measurement, control and automation technology, media and networks, as well as the maintenance department for industrial trucks.
All departments work closely together, as well as with the production, process engineering and work preparation departments.
The tasks range from the planning, construction, conversion/new construction of machines and systems and scheduled maintenance to their repair and optimization.
This broad-based technical team makes it possible to ensure that all work and fields of activity are carried out to ensure smooth production processes.

Research & Development

Elb-Milch’s product development covers a very wide range of products, and we work together in small teams to find optimum solutions for our customers. We implement larger projects together with process engineering, production and the quality department.

In addition to testing raw material specifications and formulating in the office, samples are produced, tested and sensory evaluated on a laboratory and technical scale. We use both external pilot plants and our own facilities for up-scaling. The introduction of new products on our own production facilities is particularly interesting – this step is closely monitored by product development and evaluated together with production. All production at the site is based on recipes and production instructions, which are centrally maintained and created by Product Development.

Information on the layout design of packaging and food and patent law tests round off the services we provide to support our customers.

Logistics

Logistics – the term stands for the planning, management, control and optimization of the flow of materials and information within a company. We are constantly involved in the upstream and downstream processes of our production company. As logistics specialists, we are responsible for ensuring the transportation, storage, provision, procurement and distribution of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods for production and also to the customer.
